Lead Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment

  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that are consistent with the Montessori-inspired curriculum and that are developmentally appropriate for each child

  • Evaluate the progress and assessment of the children on an ongoing basis and implement the necessary modifications

  • Keep accurate and organized records of student information

  • Create programs to the needs of individual child’s pace of learning, talent, and needs

  • Must be well informed and sensitive towards children’s and parent’s needs

Requirements

  • Great communication skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Time management skills

  • Passion for educating children

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or an Associate’s working towards a Bachelor’s on an approved study plan

  • Teaching Certification preferred

  • At least 1 year of work experience as Lead Teacher

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Assistant Teacher

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment

  • Assist in implementation of weekly lesson plans

  • Evaluate the progress and assessment of the children on an ongoing basis and recommend necessary adjustments

  • Keep accurate and organized records of student information

  • Must be well informed, sensitive towards child’s and parents needs

Requirements

  • Passion for educating children

  • High School Diploma or higher

  • At least 1 year of work experience in an early childhood childcare facility

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Center Director

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Facilities Management, Staffing Management, Program Administration, and Parental Communication

  • Work with teachers to assure that all classrooms are safe, attractive, and developmentally appropriate

  • Working knowledge of DOH regulations and codes, and ability to handle site inspections

  • Review weekly lesson plans, daily reports and address parent concerns and questions

  • Promote and maintain a professional environment between parents, teachers, and staff

  • Participate in hiring educational staff, enrichment activities, and specialty teachers

  • Ensure that all programs and services are of the highest quality

  • Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to share developmental milestones of enrolled children

  • Participate in facility tours and family interviews as required by Program Director

  • Schedule parent/teacher conference meetings and staff meetings

  • Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations including Article 47

Requirements

  • Must pass state and company background checks

  • At least 3 years experience of center leadership/management experience

  • Professional teaching experience ranging from infants to preschool children

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Early Childhood Education or related field

  • New York State Teaching Certification in B-2 or 1-6 or related

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
