Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that are consistent with the Creative Curriculum and that are developmentally appropriate for each child.
Evaluate the progress and assessment of the children on an ongoing basis and implement the necessary modifications.
Ensure that all required documentation is completed and compliant with the standards set by Creative Curriculum and the Standards of the program.
Create programs to the needs of individual child’s pace of learning, talent and special needs.
Must be well informed, sensitive towards child’s and parents needs.
A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an approved study plan.
NYS Certification for Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 2).
At least 2 years of work experience in day care.

Assist teachers with differentiation in the classroom.
Support with assessment of students as proctors as well as monitors of exams, including the administration of testing accommodations.
Provide a range of instructional, management, and assessment strategies to meet the different needs of students.
Assist with non-instructional supervision of students, such as arrival/dismissal, hallway monitoring, substitute teaching, lunch and playground duty, or supervision of extracurricular activities.
Assist in moving students to proper locations during fire drills, sports and art programs.
Keep accurate and organized records of student information.

Have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials or be enrolled in a CDA credential program.
Associates or Baccalaureate Degree.
Be enrolled in an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related educational program.
Experience must include previous employment in a child day care setting.
